What is Bensedin

Bensedin is a high-quality generic Valium that contains the same active ingredient as the original. This active ingredient is called diazepam and there are literally hundreds of other different generic versions of this medication. This extremely effective anxiety medication was originally patented in 1959 by the Swiss multinational, Roche pharmaceuticals and it was the highest sold medication in the USA for around 4 years. Since the patent expired in 1985 many other pharmaceutical companies have been allowed to make generic copies of this popular anxiety medication.

How Does Bensedin Work?

Because Bensedin contains the same active ingredient as the original branded pills it works in exactly the same way - by enhancing the effects of (gamma-Aminobutyric acid) GABA. GABA is a naturally occurring chemical in the body which blocks certain signals in the brain and transmits a calming feeling throughout the body and mind. When Bensedin binds with GABA it stimulates this neurotransmitter and can be used to promote a feeling of calm and relaxation when needed.

What is Bensedin Used for?

Like the original version of this medication, it promotes a feeling of calm and relaxation in the body and mind, and as such it has a multitude of uses both on and off label. It is generally used by people that experience uncontrollable anxiety or panic attacks because it starts to work quickly to reduce feelings of anxiety. It is also used by people that have particular fears or phobias, such as a fear of flying, or vertigo, and it can be used to ease the symptoms of opiate and alcohol withdrawal, and for treating short-term insomnia too.

Best Bensedin Dosage?

Depending on which condition you are using this medication to treat, the dosage may differ. Firstly, lets look at the available strengths. This anxiety medication comes in three strengths - 2 mg, 5 mg & Bensedin 10 mg. The most popular of the three available dosages is diazepam 10 mg, because it can easily be split into two or four smaller pieces to provide a smaller Valium dosage of 5 mg or 2.5 mg. When using this medication, it is always advised that you read and follow the dosage instructions in the patient information leaflet.

A dosage of this medication should never be taken along with alcohol. Both Bensedin and alcohol work in the same way on the central nervous system (CNS) to promote a calm feeling. The combination of both agents working together can result in a dangerously low heartbeat so it is best to avoid combining the pair.

Bensedin Side Effects

Just like the original version of this medication, there are some potential side effects to consider. Diazepam side effects are generally extremely mild and may even go unnoticed. Some of the main / normal side effects may include a difficulty concentrating, a lack of coordination and dizziness. These symptoms are generally unnoticeable in individuals that are suffering from an anxiety attack due to the effectiveness of the medication in reducing their anxiety.

By carefully reading and following the usage and dosage guidelines in the patient information leaflet you can learn more about how to avoid unwanted side effects.

Is Bensedin Safe?

Yes, in general, just like the original branded anxiety medication, this generic anxiety medication is considered safe to use for most people, however it should be avoided by anyone that has liver or kidney problems, or a history of drug, alcohol or substance addiction.
